Ginny's Blog - Junior 1

Well the first week of camp is now over and a new one starting today. Junior 1 was pretty awesome. The theme for the week was pirates and it was so awesome. All of the kids really got into the theme and were dressed like pirates most of the week. We had a lot of fun finding buried treasure, earning coins (booty) for an option auction and most of all learning about how God’s Word is True, Life Changing, Comforting, Surprising and for Everyone. Even though everyone seemed to be having a great time there was a lot of sickness that was passed around this week and a lot of hospital visits made. At one point during the week our goal was to not make a hospital visit on at least one of the days. I am not sure if it happened or not but if it did it was only one day. It seemed crazy that every time I asked where someone was they were at the hospital with a camper or a staff member. Please be praying for us as a lot of the staff are sick or getting sick (myself included). It is hard at camp when one person gets sick because it usually means that a lot more are going to be getting sick as well. Also be praying for rest as this is a contributing factor to the sickness that gets past around.
Intermediate 1 starts today and all the fun begins again. Please be praying for the staff as we get ready for the campers to come at 2 this afternoon. The theme for this camp is Hollywood. It is going to be a great week of learning about the Fruits of the Spirit and learning how we can actually live those out. Please be praying for the speaker this week as he has a big challenge with communicating this to the campers.
As for myself I love being back here this summer. It has been so great being back in a place that I love so much. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support, I know that this transition back would have been harder without your support. Please be praying for my health over this next week as I am feeling a little under the weather. Please pray for my energy level because right now a lot of my energy is being taken up with my body fighting this cold. Also thank you all who supported me financially this last month. It was a huge blessing to receive my full amount for this month! Please continue to pray for my finances as I still do not have many monthly supporters.
