Crowbar VI (Crow Brief Action Report)
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. 2 Thessalonians 1:11 (NIV)
It’s National Volunteer Week – have you? . . . Volunteered that is!
The rebuilding project is really coming together. We have a roof and some windows and doors. Soon the crew will be putting up the posts and beams around the exterior and then the roof can be finished. The next phase is ready to go. The mechanical contractor will soon be roughing in the plumbing and heating. But one of our biggest needs is volunteer labour – skilled and unskilled. (Check out the pictures on the website)
PRAISE
• We have received some donated materials: rebar, wood and insulation.
• Through some loans being given by individuals to camp the project will be able to begin the next phase uninterrupted. (If you are in a position to make such a loan to camp please contact our Treasurer Ed Bryant) (edbryant@dartbryant.com).
PRAYER
• We need more volunteer help.
• We are moving into the next phase of the building which will include the mechanical and electrical systems.
NEEDS
• Half round logs for interior posts and beams
• Fir window trim
• Washroom dividers, counters etc.
• Kitchen equipment
Sometimes we would like to help but we just don’t do it. We at camp – like the apostle in the 2 Thessalonians - pray “that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith”. If your faith is prompting you maybe you can show up for a workday (May 1, 29th - June 5, 19) or in fact just about any day since the contractor is on site 5 days a week and is willing to use volunteers.
Workdays (May 1, 29th - June 5, 19) have been scheduled to begin taking down some of the Teepees, move some back cabins, rebuild the campfire circle, demolish the old kitchen trailer from McGillvary and do general clean-up and set-up for summer. Can you come?
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)
