New Lodge - Like the Flowers Need the Rain - We Really Need You!

CROWBAR V- The CROW Brief Action Report

The PROGRESS – Like the flowers need the rain - We really need YOU!
The walls are up and the roof is going on.
 Our site supervisor Bob Krause (ARJAY Builders) is on site every day now and we can really use lots of help to put up trusses and sheet the roof.
 The log posts for around the outside to support the roof over the deck will arrive soon. We need framers.
 The windows are ready to install. Can you come and help?
 We need to build a new access trail to the north side of the building from the west – to keep construction traffic and future delivery traffic away from camper areas. Do you know how to use a shovel? Do you have a big loader or grader?
 We plan to demolish at least one Teepee and move some old boys cabins ($5 a swing ??)

The NEED
 People – volunteers to assist with framing, roofing and road work (call Charles @ 403-563-5120)(PS if you can come please bring a hardhat and safety boots if you have them)
 Materials and equipment – a skylift, framing lumber, plywood and OSB. A road grader, a payloader etc.
 Prayer – for good weather, good work and safety, volunteers and donations

PRAISE

 Some excellent donations – labour running the heavy equipment, reduced prices for a crane, gravel from the limeworks

FINANCES
$ Our Phase One budget was to have drawings, and engineering plans completed plus site preparation and utilities – we had planned to spend $56,000 our actual expenditure to complete this phase was $61,000.
$ The project is now in Phase Two which is estimated to cost $350,000. This will complete the building to lock-up (Wall, roof, windows and doors). To date we have spent 168, 000 on groundwork, footings, walls, windows trusses and equipment rentals.
$ There was $350,000 in hand at the beginning of this phase of the project and we have received donations of $65,000 since then.
$ The next phase of the project will include electrical and mechanical plus interior walls and floors. This phase is estimated to cost $325,000. We would like to have these funds in place when the exterior is finished so we can continue work.
