June 2, Prayerletter

1 month from now, camp will be welcoming and receiving 100 campers and their parents – a busy day – but one we have been looking forward to and planning for all year! It is a great day, marking the beginning of 10 weeks of summer camps for kids! Very exciting!
Will you pray with us as we work through the final preparations and filling volunteer positions, over the coming 4 weeks? Specific needs are listed below, but for those of you who only read the first two paragraphs of prayerletters, we need 25 positions filled for the first session of camps. In total, over the whole course of the summer, that number jumps to 128! We would love to have you joining us in prayer!

Last week: praise for the Keenagers weekend camp:
highlights of God at work, blessing and encouraging
1. a couple of hours of pie auction fun ending in a special “pie” in the face for Rea, the auctioneers’ helper! (17 pies: $8150.00, many smiles and laughs: priceless!)
2. A bus load (45 +) head up to the Mtn site for tea, cheesecake and music on the mountain, hosted by the Meierhofer family. After it had rained on and off all day, the sun broke through the clouds just as we were getting off the bus and gave us sunshine and warmth the whole time we were there!
3. three keenagers have signed up to come to help at camp this summer, for a week each!

Saturday: we had a work day planned, but the wet snow hindered us from getting to some of the outdoor things we wanted to get done. Some worked on setting up the new nurses station (a little building that has been moved in – now needs to get hook ups completed etc). Others did some plumbing work over in the boys dorm.

Sunday: the COLTS group left on their major outtrip (8 days/7 nights)
