I have worn a lot of hats at Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp. Most memorable being a vintage bucket hat, it was very cool. I’ve also worn warm hats and silly hats and many other kinds of hats. My personal favorite is a black five panel hat made from fleece! It’s a great hat!

David just informed me that he doesn't want to know about my fashion sense but rather about my actual job! Who knew! I have also filled a lot of roles at camp: I have done dishpit, rental coordinator, and now Covid Communications Coordinator.

This summer I will be carrying around a binder and refilling hand sanitizer stations. Leading up to the summer I am paying attention to announcements from AHS, creating checklists, and making a plan A, B, C, D, E, F etc etc.

We have had twelve months of practice in learning and relearning provincial regulations. Along with that we also have twelve months creatively maintaining community. I am convinced that CLBC will be able to do... something. What that means exactly is impossible to know. But as we get closer we will understand the rules, we will find our niche, and we will complete our mission.

I know that we are all tired of hearing out these ‘unprecedented times’ but I hope you will indulge me for a moment. I have been clinging to one thing since March last year and it continues to be my north star. Job 23:10 ‘For I know the way I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold”. I cling to a good God who has always held their beloved in their hands. In these unprecedented times we still have access to a peace that passes understanding (Phil 4:7). As camp is moving toward another summer full of question marks I rest assured.

This summer will come with it’s own troubles like other summers, and just like other summers we will be sustained by God.
