It snowed again last night. The Crowsnest Pass is even more still; even more quiet than it usually is. Spring began just a few days ago, on Thursday, but everything is shuttered and frozen, as if Winter couldn’t read the calendar, and kept hanging around. Will Spring come at all this year?

There is Good News; Spring is already here. And God is Good. Even when I am having a Psalm 88 day, when “My soul is full of troubles” and “Darkness is my closest friend,” God is Good.

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant:

if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”

~ Anne Bradstree
